Who pays taxes?

Sleepy Joe and the dems/left/media are pushing tax increases of almost unbelievable amounts. Their endless sales pitch is that only the rich and corporations will pay, no one making less than $400,000. After all, corporations and the evil rich should be made to pay their "fair share". They, of course, never define "fair share". They continually push the concept that the quantity of dollars earned is somehow related to paying a fair share. If a corporation makes billions, obviously they should be paying much higher tax rates. But, let's look at that concept. The Dems/Left/Media want you to believe that successful earners should somehow be penalized/taxed at some mythical high tax rate just to be fair. Here's an example… I make widgets and have sales of $100. The cost to make those widgets was $80, so my profit was $20. My neighbor makes wands and has sales of $100,000. His cost to make those wands was $80,000, his profit was $20,000. Yep, he made a whole lot more money than I did, but note that we were still making the same amount per sale – he just had a whole lot more sales than I did.
So here come the dems/left/media screaming that my neighbor wasn't paying his fair share! He shouldn't be allowed to keep that $20,000 because he made 10 times as much as I did. It's not "fair". We both made the same amount per sale, but because he had much higher sales than I did, he should be giving more of that profit to the government. Only a dem/left/media liberal could possibly come up with such a ridiculous thought–process and brow–beat everyone into accepting their twisted thinking.
And, just an aside…
Businesses/Corporations do NOT pay taxes! Businesses/Corporations exist to sell a product/service/whatever at a profit. The cost of producing a product/service/whatever is determined by the cost of labor, material, overhead, AND the cost of taxes. If taxes go up, product costs goes up as well. Taxes contribute to the cost of buying a product/service/whatever. Ultimately, consumers pay corporate taxes!
